CARMEN VILLEGAS

Her photographs have been included in various environmental publications of the Javeriana, Rosario, and National Universities. She has had solo and group exhibitions, most recently Sinergia (2022), in the framework of ArtBo, at the Lamazone Gallery in Bogota, where she exhibited her work with artists such as Eduardo Ramirez Villamizar, Feliza Bursztyn, and Karen Lammassone.

Photographer and social communicator with more than ten years of experience. In addition to her studies in photography and communication, she has a master’s degree in photographic retouching and digital post-production from the LABASAD school in Barcelona.

Above all, her professional experience has been developed in the publishing world. She has coordinated and produced, from the Puntoaparte publishing house, photographic books for institutions such as Enel-Codensa, ProColombia, and the Colegio Andino of Bogota, in addition to having worked simultaneously in independent editorial design. 

Recently, she was selected to carry out in Colombia the registration of the ecological recovery process carried out by the international organization Pur-Projet -with a presence in more than forty countries- and oversaw the photofix work for the fiction short film Un caballo en la alcoba, directed by Darío Vargas and produced by Óscar Guarín.
